 FairTrade
Now a common consumer label, this logo is awarded to products which meet international Fairtrade standards. It is an independent consumer label which guarantees a better deal for producers in developing countries. It ensures that farmers and workers get a fair price and gives premiums to invest in community development. It benefits communities through economic stability, improves health services and education.
Ethical Companies
The ethical companies logo is an independent mark of endorsement by several leading and progressive brands. Assessed on 15 criteria in the categories including pollution, nuclear power, workers and animal rights. Companies carrying the logo must score highly in all these areas. Brother have this accreditation.
 FSC
The trade mark of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) indicates that the wood used to make the product comes from a forest which is well managed according to strict environmental, social and economic standards. The forest of origin has been independently inspected and evaluated according to the principles and criteria for forest management agreed and approved by the Forest Stewardship Council. FSC is an international, non-profit association whose membership comprises environmental and social groups and progressive forestry and wood retail companies working in partnership to improve forest management worldwide.

 Nordic Swan
The Nordic Eco-labelling criteria are based on evaluation of the environmental impacts during the life cycle of the product. The inks are alcohol-based or water-based and are not hazardous to health or environment. There are no chlorinated plastics or heavy metals in the products.
 TCO
TCO is an international standard for electrical products. To carry this logo the product must have low emissions, meet ergonomic design criteria and have minimal environmental impact. Brother are the best example of this.
